As a pistol the Diana Chaser delivers a lot of bang for the buck. The balance of this airgun in the hand makes it easy to hold on target in either a traditional one-handed target shooting stance or with a two-handed hold and Weaver stance. If you are serious about learning to target shoot with a single shot pistol, using a one-handed target shooting stance, the Chaser is a great airgun to begin with.

It has good sights, a surprisingly light, well made trigger, and is easy to load and fire with its bolt action design. The fully adjustable rear has reference marks for both elevation and windage. While it does not have click stops, if you keep notes or have a great memory you can make adjustments and easily reset the sights to the zeroed factory position.

I found the setting perfect for my initial test and made no adjustments. And you still have every right to be skeptical. The Chaser has a trigger you might expect to find on a more costly air pistol.

It is a two-stage trigger with a very short pull, which can be adjusted, however, there is no tool included with the gun for that purposeand an average trigger press of only 2 pounds, Thus far we have determined that the build quality is very good, the fit and finish excellent, accessories well made and interchangeable between the.

The only thing I would like to have seen would be a white outline for the rear sight and a white dot, or better, a fiber optic front sight. If it scores high in these last two evaluations, the Diana could be the low ball, back door, best buy of the year for an entry-level airgun. But it has to deliver.

Narcissistic dysphoria

Not only does the Diana name build our expectations, but the design of the airgun itself hints at 10 meter accuracy. With the shoulder stock borrowed from the.

This is a fairly easy magazine to load.

Seicane mcu update

On the side that faced the bolt there is a clear plastic cover. You rotate it counter clockwise, and as it moves around it exposes an open port from the backside of the magazine into which you place one pellet nose up. Move the plastic cover another step, insert another pellet and continue the process until you have loaded nine. At this point the leading edge of the clear plastic cover will be on the left side of the magazine, just opposite of where it is in this photo loading the first pellet….

The Diana really has no direct price point CO2 competitor with all these features.

The closest is the Crosman but it is only a pistol, only available in. This is an alloy trigger with an integral crossbolt safety; nothing fancy. It has a nearly vertical profile which reminds me of several cast alloy triggers used on centerfire pistol upgrades and a very short factory set take up of only 0. You absorb between The remaining pull is another 0. It has a light sensation of drag as you pull through but it is as close to a target trigger as this price range air pistol can come.

It is not as fine a trigger as an Air Venturi V10, which trips at 2 pounds, 1. This is a better trigger than I have found on the majority of air pistols at this price, and even some costing considerably more. The trigger pull on the Chaser does not induce any negative effect with accuracy.

One point that I have already brought up to Diana is that the adjustable trigger is neither mentioned in the instruction book, nor does the Chaser come with the hex head tool necessary to make adjustments to the trigger take up. The magazine slips easily into the channel in the receiver where the pellet tray fits for single shot loading.

The removed pellet tray can be seen just to the left of the open pellet tin. This is a basic windage and elevation adjustable target rear sight that comes preset and zeroed in. As for adjustments, the windage setting has five positions hash marks on either side of center; the elevation screw is also marked with detents around its circumference, so every change in elevation and windage is precise and there is no guesswork if you keep notes as to how far it has been adjusted. I don't know about the action without actually handling one. How long is the air tube with out the cap on the Chaser? I prefer the kind of grip this co2 gun has but it's the same chassis also.

I agree, Wayne. GA, USA. Nice so the grip from the Chaser will fit the Bandit? Tom I just got one last week. The grip is for the HULK.

This what I made for mine. Apple Valley, Ca. Quote from: glassman98 on February 17,PM. Coming in the mail. Which is suppose to be like the bandit. It has a Chaser stock, but the threaded barrel. That looks nice! Not overly fond of the Chaser pistol grip.

Dont like the knob at the bottom but it might be better than that chunk of lumber on the Bandit. I will know in a couple of days as I went ahead and ordered a Bandit. I had read somewhere where folks were fitting a barrel band on theirs. I see your Rebel has one.

I need to look into that too. SMF 2. I can make a box but not carve a grip Logged Insanity Rapscallion at your service!Came across the Diana line and noticed that they have the Chaser rifle kit. Also noted that they have the Bandit, a PCP pistol. In looking at both very closely, I'm kind of wondering if there could potentially be a hybrid there of removing both stocks of the Chaser and the Bandit and putting all the mechanics of the Bandit onto the Chaser's stock.

Then I would replace the barrel of the bandit with the Chaser's rifle barrel. I realize the Bandit's air tube is only 50cc's, but that's enough for when I need to do some immediate "pest control". Both CO2 and PCP air tubes look to be about the same, but if they're not, I'm thinking I could modify the stock somewhat to make it fit.

I'm pretty new to the airgun world, so I wanted to get some of ya'lls input on what issues I could potentially run into, before laying down the cash. I know there has been a lot of CO2 mod's that can achieve the higher FPS's, but it can get expensive in doing so. Why not just get a Diana stormrider.

With that in mind, do any of you see any potential issues or road blocks in considering what I'm thinking? Check out the Edgun Leshiy. Unless you need a repeater, it sounds like it may fit your lightweight requirement. Now that I've received some feedback in regards to different alternatives instead of modding, I'm wondering if this might potentially be something. Low dollars, extremely lightweight, and pcp.

With that in mind, any thoughts on what potential issues I might run into in making this mod? I guess I was too late with the Edit. Sorry about that.

However, have you looke at the Benjamin P. Can be found second hand for a great price here and there. The Woodswalker is a bit more, but looks the part.

Lefty Kid – QB78 or Diana Chaser?

Yes you can put the bandit in a chaser stock but you will still have a gun that has a shot string that looks like a tire going flat. The Bandit owner needs to have some hammer springs on hand and do some tuning.

I have seen the shot strings from these guns and it is ugly, but I believe fixable if you are willing to sacrifice some FPS. In your case, being new to PCP's, buy a P-rod. There is a base tune on YouTube and every air gun website that puts you right in the mid fps range for at least 3 mags or 24 shots.

I have a P-rod and I have 3 Artemis Diana guns. No comparison. You can call Crosman and have parts delivered to your house in a week.Welcome, Guest.

Looks like a modified Crosman Comes with pistol barrel, One can use the Stormrider magazine with this and has an LDC, open sights and has a storage compartment in the grip for 2nd co2 cartridge. Chinese made, so it's kinda sad to see Diana head in that direction, but anyhoo, still looks good for its price point.

I'm a lefty so it was odd to see the pics seem to indicate the bolt is on the left side of the breech. Grayslake Illimois. Brocock Concept Standard S6. Another rebranded SPA offering but cheaper This was originally a pistol only, the CP1 Spa, as a pistol the left hand bolt is desirable for right handers, since this carried over to this setup, the lefties are lucky when using as a rifle.

I did look at the breech barrel port alignment and it was very close on this example. I'm sure there is more to be had, just do not have easy access to factory parts for trial and error. Diana must be happy with their Snow Peak products Allegedly a much better trigger. Auckland, New Zealand. Here's a short video I did about mine.Just started to look around for a rifle, with my lefty son in mind. Dad's wish list is two stage trigger, peep sights, and CO2. Neither the QB78 or the Chaser come with peeps.

I might consider an reflex or some other sight if it's absolutely dead simple reflex maybe? I like the idea that the Chaser already has a left handed bolt. There's a couple of rear peeps I've found but I'm not sure about front sight height compatibility I'm leaning towards 22 just to avoid BB's finding there way into a pellet gun — my Umarex Commander is BB. For now this would only be under direct supervision, he's just 6.

I also like that the Diana is suppressed.

Since the KT is custom, it's been harder to find info on it, from what I can tell it's just a with options. So far I'm not seeing anything it gives me the Chaser doesn't. Leaving the sights out of it just to be fair, since the Diana also lacks my preferred sights.
